Responsibilities
As a pilot, you represent SWISS. Together with the entire crew, you ensure our guests reach their destination safely and on time, while being responsible for the aircraft, crew, passengers, and cargo. Your additional tasks include:
- Operating SWISS aircraft safely and efficiently, focusing on punctuality, cost-effectiveness, and maintaining high-quality standards for our guests.
- Preparing and conducting flights according to SWISS guidelines.
- Collaborating with the crew, ground staff, and air traffic control.
- Supporting and deputizing for the Commander in all matters.
- Continuously maintaining and deepening your professional knowledge independently.
- Acting responsibly and sustainably.
- Demonstrating integrity, maturity, loyalty, social competence, and leadership potential.

Requirements
To qualify as a pilot at SWISS, the following criteria must be met:
For Direct Entry applicants (valid Airbus type rating + ME/IR Rating with PBN and minimum 800 hours on type):

General requirements:
- Completed education with Matura/Abitur, HF diploma, general higher education entrance qualification, or equivalent technical diploma.
- ATPL(A), CPL(A)/IR, or MPL license (EASA Part-FCL).
- Advanced UPRT training in accordance with EASA.FCL.745.
- Medical Class 1 Certificate.
- Fully documented flying performance record (flight log, license, etc.).
- Swiss citizenship or EU-27/EFTA passport.
- Proficiency in German (minimum B2 level certification required if not a native/everyday language speaker).
- Conversational proficiency in English (minimum ICAO Level 4).
- Impeccable reputation.
- Willingness to receive vaccinations approved in Switzerland (including COVID-19, yellow fever, etc.).
- Height: 160–198 cm.
- Maximum age: 56 years (based on GAV guidelines).
