Air France is recruiting professional Pilots who will start as Co-Pilots on the medium-haul network.
Job Description
Being an airline pilot is a demanding career requiring true passion for flying, enthusiasm, commitment, and intellectual, psychological, and physical aptitude. Proficiency in English is also essential.
Responsibilities:
- Piloting, navigation, radio communication management, and technical monitoring of the aircraft.
- Working in a two-tier hierarchy of Commandant de bord (CDB) and Officier Pilote de Ligne (OPL).
- Commandant de bord: Responsible for the entire crew and passengers, with authority to make decisions from flight preparation to conclusion, ensuring safety and security.
- Officier Pilote de Ligne: Second in command, assisting the Commandant de bord.
Profile and Requirements
Mandatory Requirements:
- License: Valid ATPL or CPL/IRME license.
- Theoretical ATPL: Issued by an ATO certified in an EU Member State.
- Medical Fitness: Valid Class 1 medical certificate.
- MCC Certificate: Crew training certification with a satisfactory level.
- English Proficiency: FCL 055/055D Level 5 or higher (valid).
- TOEIC Score: Minimum 850 (valid within 2 years).
- Flight Hours Documentation: Copies of the last 2 pages of your flight log certified under oath.
- Employer Certificate: Validating your logged flight hours.
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of the EEA or Switzerland.
- French Proficiency: Fluency in French; non-native speakers must hold FCL 055 Level 6 in French.
- Selection Process: Must not have failed the Air France PSY2 professional pilot selection process more than twice.
Additional Requirements for New Applicants (Post-20/12/2019):
- Advanced EASA UPRT certification.
- 70 hours PIC (or equivalent under EASA standards).
Selection Process
The selection process includes:
- PSY 1 Tests: Psychometric and psychomotor evaluations at ENAC.
- PSY 2 Tests: Personality assessments, group exercises, and individual interviews.
- Flight Simulator Test (if applicable).
Each test stage is valid for 2 years. After PSY 1, candidates are assigned to:
- Main List: Proceed to PSY 2.
- Secondary List: Invited to PSY 2 based on company needs.
- Non-Admitted List: No further consideration.
Important Notes:
- Two PSY 1 failures result in disqualification.
- Previous cadet candidates with two PSY 2 failures may reapply after 3 years with 1,500 flight hours.
